Support SPD officers by donating to the Seattle Police Foundation Grant Program

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Seattle Police Foundation would like to thank City of Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell for proclaiming Monday, January 9, 2023, as Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Celebrated annually on January 9, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was launched in 2015 as a way to inspire people and agencies to express their gratitude to their local law enforcement professionals. A formal proclamation from the Office of the Mayor commemorating this day is such a wonderful way to publicly honor the men and women of the Seattle Police Department and let them know that the work they do to ensure public safety in our community does not go unnoticed. View the proclamation on our website.

Thank you, Mayor Harrell!

To help honor the work of the men and women of the Seattle Police Department, we are asking the public to support our Grant Program, which allows SPD officers and staff to activate meaningful projects and programs that help improve public safety in our community. No amount is too small. The amount you spend on coffee in a week can be used to help pay for outreach materials, new gear, community engagement, youth programs, EMT equipment, and many other initiatives that make our community a safer place for all.

Donations to the Seattle Police Foundation directly support SPD officers. To help the Foundation continue this vital work, please consider donating to the Seattle Police Foundation Grant Program.

The Seattle Police Foundation raises support and awareness for the Seattle Police Department. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and have proudly served the men and women of SPD and the Seattle community since 2002. Please learn more about us on our website.
